The Bari family (competing as team "USA 1776") was one of the five international winning families in the Olympic Families Tour Beijing contest sponsored by The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympics (BOCOG) to help celebrate the one year countdown to the Beijing 2008 Olympics. The Bari family blog about the Olympics was one of the top five international recipients of votes in this worldwide contest.
